Swiffer Sweeper: Ultimate Unboxing, Setup and How to Use Guide

Today, we’re going to delve into the world of floor cleaning by reviewing the Swiffer Sweeper. This is something that I’ve personally used and can say with confidence that it’s a fantastic tool that works wonders on hardwood floors.

Though I primarily use it in my kitchen, it can be beneficial in any area of your home. I recently purchased a new one and decided to share with you how to go about setting it up.

Here’s my full video about unboxing it, setting it up, and using it:

Unboxing the Swiffer Sweeper

The first thing you’ll notice when you open the Swiffer Sweeper box are myriad cleaning pads. The collection includes wet pads, ideal for deep cleaning, as well as dry pads suited for light dusting or dirt pickup. The primary focus here, however, will be on the main cleaner parts.

Setting up the Swiffer Sweeper

Setting up the Swiffer Sweeper is a breeze. You start by taking the bottom piece, which is the part that will come into contact with the floor, and then start attaching the extendable pieces onto it.

The first piece to add has two little holes, just slide it on, push the piece down, and snap it into place. Remember to align the snap piece with the hole for a secure setup.

The Sweeper has little spring-loaded dots and holes that snap together

The process is repeated with the other two pieces, one with a dot on one side and holes on the other.

Click each one into place

After they’re all connected, you’ll find it has extended considerably making it excellent for floor cleaning.

Finally, attach the handle, and your Swiffer Sweeper is ready to go! The whole assembly process takes just about 15 seconds.

Attaching the Cleaning Pads

Post assembly, the next step is to attach one of the cleaning pads. My kit came with several pads to test out, including a heavy-duty cleaning pad, perfect for rougher floors like garages or basements, and wet cleaning pads that serve as good mopping alternatives on tile floors.

For the purpose of this demonstration, let’s use a dry cloth. The cloth is fitted onto the end of the Swiffer, ensuring that all four corners are firmly gripped onto the cleaner. In just a few moments, your Swiffer Sweeper is good to go!

Using the Swiffer Sweeper

The Swiffer Sweeper is a dream to use. It seamlessly pivots and slides under objects, thanks to its versatile design and extendable handle. The dry cloth has a microfiber-like feel, perfect for picking up dust and dirt from crevices or across the floor. Even with my brief use during the demo, it had managed to pick up quite a bit of dirt off the floor!

The Sweeper is just as effective when used with a wet cloth for sticky messes. Once you’re done with a cloth, simply pop it off the cleaner and toss it. What’s great about the Swiffer brand is that they also offer a recycling program for their cloths.

In Summary

In conclusion, the Swiffer Sweeper is a fantastic tool to have in your cleaning arsenal. Its straightforward assembly, ease of use, and incredible cleaning ability, all contribute to a seamless cleaning experience. It is an investment that will serve you well for years to come.
